Nashville’s Frist hosts Bellissima! | The Italian Automotive Renaissance
Nashville’s Frist Center for the Visual Arts reminds us of such a romantic time for travel with "Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance, 1945-1975" on display May 27 through October 9, 2016.
The exhibit consists of Italian – manufactured automobiles and motorcycles: coachbuilt cars, concept cars, and motorcycles produced during the post–World War II economic revival, when sheer elegance and hope went into the vehicle as much as hard labor and careful design. Visitors who love cars and motorcycles, history buffs, and people who enjoy social studies will appreciate the “creative connections and brilliant design language that helped propel Italy to the global forefront of the automotive world … showing design excellence as a force that can transform a nation … which never lost its love for artistic expression in all aspects of life.” A beautifull designed volume devoted to the most collectible and rare mid-century Italian Cars and Motorcycle Bellissima present some of the world.
Forget the new Ford, a classic Chevy, Rat Rods, original Indians or older Harley; the vehicles you will want in your garage are featured in "Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance, 1945-1975" at The Frist.
Beginning April 15, 2016, a limited number of non-member tickets will be available for online purchase; an initiative of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
